The Classical Tour of Brussels is designed to share the cultural treasures of this beautiful city with its visitors from all over the world.
There are many fascinating and delightful places to go and a plethora of intriguing tales and legends to accompany them. As your experienced and professional private guide in Brussels, Mike Eyns is the perfect person to take you on your guided tour of Brussels most prominent attractions.
On the Classical Tour, we begin at the city's most popular tourist destination, the Grand Place. The Market Square here is one of the most beautiful locales in the world, home to extraordinarily beautiful architecture such as the magnificent Town Hall, completed in 1445. Visitors to Brussels always enjoy wandering along the Grand Place, lounging on the terraces and partaking of famous Belgian beer. The Market Square is also the location for concerts throughout the year, the annual Ommegang historical procession and the biennial flower carpet.
Nearby we'll make an obligatory stop to see our local National Pride, the impudent statue of a young boy called the Mannekin Pis.
At this point during our guided tour of Brussels we will pause to savor an authentic Brussels waffle, then take our walking tour through the Grand Sablon, where you'll find amazing antiques and bric-a-brac. We can see the inspiring stained glass of the Notre Dame church, and the awe-inspiring edifices of The Justice Palace.
Brussels city tours must of course a climb up the stairs of the Cinquantenaire Arch, which was built in 1887 and offers a heartwrenchingly lovely panoramic view of Brussels. After this we'll continue our guided tour of Brussels to view the King's Palace, as well as St. Michaels Cathedral. We'll stroll along the Place de la Chapelle until we reach the end at Place St.Gery.
This enticing guided tour in Brussels is a wonderful half day excursion that will give you an opportunity to really get to know the wonder and beauty of Belgium. Our day can always be extended to include visits to other places of interest, such as the Atomium or some of our spectacular museums.
